You are My Good Thing

Psalm 16:7-9

“The wise counsel God gives when im awake is confirmed by me sleeping heart.  Day and night I’ll stick with God, I’ve got a good thing and I’m not letting go.”

Oh God how You have held me up and preserved me!

You have kept me for Your own plans and pleasures

People said of me look she is abandoned by her God

And He has made her an orphan, a widow

But my heart knows the truth of the matter

You my king have taken me in and now hold me up

You have given me Your ring and robe

They can not see for their eyes are empty sockets

All they view is there own darkness without Your light

I walk in a wide space because of Your Hand on me

I drink and never thirst because of Your fountain inside me

I eat manna not of this earth because You are my food

When can I go and be with You for real

Not only in spirit as I worship in mind and spirit

My soul aches for eternity when we shall see Your face

When all light will be from Your glory alone casting out all shadows

That is what I daydream about, going to Your place

Living there with You and forgetting this corrupted world

You are like a wine and I can not seem to drink enough

You fill me until my mouth overflows and still I want more

I could drown in Your presence so pour Yourself into me!

My heart shouts Your praise and calls to You from the mountain

Come now and let me rest  and lay my head in Your lap

Where else will I find comfort and peace

Where else will I find refreshment and energy

Where else will I find joy and contentment

Ah yes it is within the bosom of Your embrace

And yet as I desire You and constantly run after You

I find it is You who seeks me out as well

You have longed to know me and hold me

Since the day You created me with Your laughter

You have watched me grow and stand up

You have patiently waited the day I would find You

With eagerness You purposed to me

You have succeeded and captured my heart

Your goodness has enslaved me forever

It is Your love Oh God that has covered me head to toe

You are my choice Oh God and I am Yours.

Forgiven

How marvelous that my sins are forgiven!  They can never be found again and I am overjoyed with the entire idea. Completely marked out and erased,. as if they never even existed. What power and righteousness God must possess to do such a thing!


After all sin is a repugnant smell to God, it makes Him want to vomit.  I once was indeed an enemy toward God, always causing trouble and fighting agains Him. But now I bask in His glory, I am refressed in His presence but most of all I am forgiven.  The price i could not repay short of death has been conceled. The blood of Jesus has canceled out my sin, as if it was never even there.


Praise the Father, Son and Holy Ghost who all play an entricate part of this process. Being made whole, the robbed and prepared and finally recieveding His grace and forgiveness. Filled with love and compassion. 

You Care For Me

All day long my ears listen for you, Your wisdom and knowledge are a worthy treasure.
I consider the high institutes of learning, its classrooms and proffessors full of knowledge then realize they know nothing compared to You God.
On my best day You have more to offer than me. How is it that I try to solve my own problems? Can i attain to see the future and know the best path?
Do i dare to map out the best journey for my life because i know whats best for me?


Saddly, it is not in me to know what is best for me Father, but gratefully I listen all day to hear Your counsel because You have my best interest at heart. My name is carved on Your arm and my heart is bond to Yours. You treat me as You treat me as Your own child. Discipline, reward and provision, then all the promises that come along side! Truely I am blessed by You.


Father I am grateful You are aware of my low, helpless estate and constantly wandering because You take care of me. I do not need to fret, worry or go without sleep because by choice You, God, Care for me.

Cover Me

Lord You are a great cover over me!

Your warmth is my peace when the world is cold and I am grateful You care for me. Lord You alone are able to stop the bullet, break the arrow and save me from the enemies snare!  As i take each step You hace order for me You are a shelter around me against the enemy.

God when those who hate me tried to break me into temptation it was You my Father who opened a window of escape. Oh how i am protected by Your hand! A fortress around me and my household You have become and my night is filled with peaceful rest all my days. The forces of this world come in like a flood and You scatter them and they retreat in many directions. their tails tucked they run back to their master! Greater is He who is in me than he who is in this world!

Oh my wonderful Daddy God, You have captured my heart! as You keep me from harm teach me Your ways. Teach me and prune me to bear even more fruit for You. Keep me as I give you me.

Awake my King

Awake awake my soul, the source of my strength is nigh! My King does not sleep or slumber ah but He holds all time in His hands. He who is not bond by night and day, seasons and schedules. Awake my soul and be glad, Rejoice!

Your God has put His strength on you like a fine rob of David! the heavens declare you are His and the angels sing praise to the lamb whose blood has stained the rob red with blood! tis the blood of freedom and restoration. Awake oh arise and be about Gods business for the spirit has strength to over power the flesh, the enemy we live with that so easily causes us to stumble. 
But You Great King, my God i walk in Your strength to do all things, Through Christ it is possible. In sickness my fleshes weeps but my soul will praise the Creator and Healer. In hardship my stomach grumbles but my mouth sings gladness to the Fruit Bearer. 
Awake my soul and count your blessing, how the King loves you and cares for you. You are of high cost, and greatly treasured by God and nothing can cause trouble for you and Him. All day long He is with you waiting for moments alone. He eagerly meets you on schedule and fully blesses you as you seek Him. So I have pulled close and cling to Your strength around me and I am warn and safe.

All Hemmed In

God You have hemmed me in! I no longer need to fear what mere humans can do to me, what any of creation may try. It is such wonderful news to take in and my mind can not lay hold to it, understanding goes beyond my capacity.

You Father have placed Your hand of blessing on me and there is nowhere i can go that i am alone! In the valleys You are with me, in the shadows You are my light, in the dessert Your are my drink, in the cold Your are my blanket and in the storm You are my comfort. How wonderful to serve such a loving God!

Your strength supports me and You ride the wings of morning just to be with me! I do not deserve such faithfulness but i accept it all the same. You are my portion God, a sour taste that fills my soul with sweetness. Always You know the correct path and eagerly show me. Always You have what is needed and wait only for me to ask. Always You call me to Your side and rescue me from myself.

Protect me this day my Father, from the evil plots of the enemy. For each thing he seeks to tear down, build even higher. For each thing he seeks to destroy, increase its stability. For each thing he seeks to steal, restore 7 fold. Guide me because i seek You and no other, so that Your name will be glorified.

MY PRAYER

FATHER GOD HOW MARVELOUS YOU ARE! YOUR BEAUTY LEAVES THE EARTH SPEECHLESS, YOUR FACE IS THE DESIRE OF EVERY LIVING CREATURE. THE TREES STRETCH UPWARD IN THE EFFORT TO BE IN YOUR PRESENCE, THE MOUNTAINS ROLL AND TREMBLE TO GAIN YOUR GLANCE. THE SEA WAVES MOVE IN BEAUTIFUL SOUND TO PRAISE YOU AS THE DOLPHINS DANCE IN A JOINED PRAISE OF ADORATION. THE BIRDS SING AND FLY HIGH TO CATCH A GLANCE OF YOUR BEAUTY, THE EAGLE SOARS ON YOUR BREATH ALL DAY LONG. HOW CAN I REFUSE TO PRAISE!


MY GOD HOW GOOD YOU ARE TO ME, ONCE AN ENEMY YOU POURED YOUR GRACE ON ME AND SAVED ME. YOUR UN MATCHED LOVE FOR ME HAS MADE A WAY OF FORGIVENESS AND YOUR DEEP DESIRE TO HAVE ME CREATED A PATH TO COME TO YOU ONCE AGAIN. YOU ALL MY LIFE, MY LOVE AND MY ALL.
IT IS YOUR WORD, JESUS WHO HAVE GIVEN ALL TO HAVE ALL OF ME, AND I GIVE YOU ALL I AM TO HAVE ALL OF YOU. IT IS BECAUSE OF YOU I AM FREE FROM THE TYRANNY AND JUDGEMENT OF SIN, I AM FREE AND FOUND NOT GUILTY ALL BECAUSE OF YOU JESUS. MY ONLY SOURCE OF GRATITUDE AND REPAYMENT IS A LIVING SACRIFICE OF MYSELF TO YOU, AND EVEN THAT STILL FALLS SHORT. 


FOR THIS REASON I ASK ONLY ONE THING OF YOU MY GOD, NOTHING ELSE IS OF ANY WORTH EXPECT THIS ONE REQUEST --- REIGN IN MY LIFE! FILL ME WITH YOUR HOLY SPIRIT AND WORK IN ME TO DESIRE TO OBEY YOUR LAWS, TO DESIRE TO BE FAITHFUL, TO DESIRE TO PLEASE YOU. FOR MY HEART OH GOD WOULD BETRAY US BOTH AND TURN FROM YOU AND I FEAR THE VERY THOUGHT OF LIFE WITHOUT YOU. BIND MY HEART TO YOURS AND HOLD ME IN YOUR LOVE. CHASTISE ME WHEN I AM WRONG, CORRECT ME WHEN I SIN. AS A FATHER DISCIPLINES HIS CHILD SO DO TO ME FOR I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR MYSELF AND YOU DO. I TRUST YOU WITH MY LIFE. I KNOW YOU HAVE THE BEST PLANS FOR ME, TO BLESS AND BUILD UP NOT DESTROY AND TEAR DOWN. 


AS YOU HAD MERCY ON ME WHEN I WAS YOUR ENEMY AND SAVED ME, DO THE SAME NOW AND KEEP ME SAFE FROM MYSELF, THIS DECEITFUL HEART AND LUSTFUL FLESH. YOU ALONE CAN GUIDE ME INTO RIGHTEOUSNESS GOD, SO I SEEK YOU DAY AND NIGHT CONTINUALLY FOLLOWING YOU. PRAISING YOU WHEN I RISE, PRAISING YOU WHEN I LAY DOWN AND PRAISING YOU IN BETWEEN. USE ME OH GOD AS A CRACKED CLAY POT, FILLING ME WITH YOUR GLORY AND POURING OUT EVERYWHERE YOU LEAD ME. PUT ME ON AS YOUR GLOVES TO MINISTER TO OTHERS WHO ARE DYING. I AM YOUR GLASS AND NOBODY ELSE HAS ANY RIGHTFUL CLAIM TO ME. MY NAME IS CARVED IN YOUR HAND AND YOUR STAMP AND SEAL IS UPON ME --- I AM YOURS.
KEEP ME KNOW LORD, WITHIN YOUR WILL AND EMPOWER ME TO GLORIFY YOUR NAME IN EVERY SITUATION UNTIL YOU TAKE ME HOME.
AMEN
