Contentment

Oh God when stuff happens rise Your Holy Spirit quickly in me. Erase the discontent In my heart and put Your Name on my lips.

Instead of complaining and wishing for something else, Create gratitude to be used in every situation of my life to be Your hands Father. Let my words be few and from You.

Fire

Father the fire of temptation comes when i am alone.

I seek Your secure hand

when the fire shakes my senses

and my flesh responds

when I refuse its desire

Your Hand reminds me i am secure

I seek Your sustaining word

when my world seems to whirl

and the past blurs before my eyes

I repeat the Word i have hid in my heart

Your promises remind me i am secure

I seek Your stabilizing voice

when old sins call me across the waves

and the shore of sand looks inviting

I concentrate on Your voice alone

Your breath alone reminds me i am secure

I seek Your steadying eyes

as i walk past every fleshly indulging sin

like restaurant it entices me to stop in

I keep my gaze fixed on Your eyes

Your eyes remind me i am loved and i am secure

Then when the fiery trial is done

and i rest at Your side

I shall stand in You alone

and count the growth in it

I shall consider the fire joy

and remember i am secure even through the fire

Early

Early will I seek You before any other I see. My face viewed by my Lord first. In the twilight before sunrise will I seek You.

Hide me in Your love as we talk. I have come for one reason to give myself to You and come to life in Your presences.

As a dove, in the secret place under the stairs in the garden You have made for the one You love. I am the one You love! Hold me close.

My heart would run and make merry, an unfaithful kind is she if not restrained and bound closely to Yours. Never trust me to my own devices God!

Early I seek You and give myself to You anew each morning. God You are my source and apart from You I am dead. But with You I am useful, victorious and undefeatable. Stay close all day, I need You.

God will up hold you.

‘Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Prayer
Thank you father for your assurance that you are with me at all times. I reject anxiety, I reject worry. I receive strength from the Most High. Thank you for the help

Morning Meeting

My soul crys for U oh God! Hurry! Come satisfy me with Ur presence! I am undone until I have sat at Ur feet. Until I have felt Ur touch and heard Ur voice.

Oh God I need U so I can enter my day. Decisions, delegations and desires await before me. Work, ministry and responsibility lay in wait. I start with U for with all my wisdom, knowledge and learning are nothing absent from U my God.

Come I am Ur dove in the cleft of the rock in the secret of the stairs. I slip away while it is still night to join U without interruption. My heart is for U, my eyes see U in everything and remind me of Ur great love and desire towards me. My soul is filled to the brim and overflows as I commune with U. Peace and confidence become strong with Ur voice in my ear.

It is Monday God and U have ordered the day into the week, I trust U to it and rest in the knowledge that I can rely on U. Humans will fail me, but I can count on Ur faithful provision, clear direction and loving correction. U are my God and I am Ur servant, yet U have called me friend. I seek no other.

-This week trust God with something u have held out on. Total surrender of it will surprise u as God eases the burden and smooths the "issues". BE ENCOURAGED! God is on the throne, He reigns.

the head and not the tail

Matthew 21:42
God i am glad to be rejected by this world for Your sake! To be the head and not the tail!
i seek only Your approval and leap for joy when You smile in acceptance at me. let people laugh and ridicule me, i am confident and satisfied with ypu my Lord and content.
i have to ill hatred toward those who reject me, i pray they see Jesus in me and desire after Him!

The Light of Israel

And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day. Isaiah 10:17

Jesus was and is the "Light of Israel." He is also the "Light of life" and the "Light of men," a "Light to lighten the world." But the "Light of Israel" was "to burn and devour thorns and briers." Dear child of God, are you bringing the useless branches, the unpleasant, unlovely things of your life into the Light of His Presence that they may be consumed? Some day the shining of His Presence will destroy the very Advocate of evil. Shall we not submit our lives to that Wondrous Light and ask Him to consume all evil in us?

eager to praise

All of creation praises loud
as voices it carries to God
nothing held back
the beauty of self abandon

oh God help me be like that

The trees stretch upward
they wave in union with the wind
acknowledging the Creator
Praises rise Praises rise

God reveal my intentions
reveal my inhibitions
reveal withheld parts of my heart
God reveal me so it can be burned

God make me like that

Burn me as the silver in a pot
removing all impurities
removing all shapes of "me"
as You make me reflect Jesus

Fortress

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Psalm 18:2

"A mighty fortress is my God," and no evil may reach the soul that shelters there. There is no saint of God who may look back through all the troubled years of any earthly pilgrimage, and not say, if he shall truly speak, "I have been kept by the power of God." Every failure of our lives and each defeat has come when we have sought some earthly fortress rather than our Lord. I am hiding, Lord, in Thee. Amen.

Numbers 13:31-32

But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

Prayer

I reject every evil report no matter where it comes from in Jesus name.
I refuse to see anything negative in relation to the promises of God concerning me and all that concerns my household.
I will succeed in this new year. Amen.

Lead me to the cross where Your love poured out
lead me to my knees i belong to You
rid me of myself Lord i lay me down
led me to the cross
led me to YOUR heart

Oh God i long to be like You

lead me to the altar of self sacrifice
tie me down tight with many strong ropes
for my flesh is fighting with all it has
and my human heart seeks prideful applause

tear out of me this human condition
this self preservation and self adoration
this sin born in me at birth
be a fire burning in my bones seeking You

rise in me my GOD and be not a gentleman
it is my request even my deep desire
to be destroyed and recreated in Your image
to shine like the SON and glorify You Father

Comfort

You oh Lord are my comfort
there is no other that consoles me as You
no drug, no drink, no human, no animal
no one, no thing

I have spent time with You oh Lord
and my heart is calm
my spirit at peace.

You great King walk with me

what comfort i find in You my Master
oh creator of all things
where can i find comfort except in You
the doctors gains wisdom from You

As i am in Your protective, provision i want not

You cause me to smile in the face of even death
for You have defeated even its cold grip

The Words of my Mouth

Father guide the words of my mouth
as they are uttered through these lips
allow only words that edify
allow only words that uplift

Words have power my Lord
that is why i speak Your written word
when i am afraid of terror at night
when i am caught in temptations fight

Words have life within them Father
give me calm and loving words
to teach and encourage others
to correct and train in Your ways

Words have death when they are misused
harsh and condemning knives they are
when thrown carelessly in ridicule
when shot across in mean jest

Oh Father guide my words
harness my tongue from careless use
keep my speech for Your words alone
take hold any negative word entering my mind

Father guard my tongue
help me bind it strong even when lashed myself
to reply with a calm quiet response
to reply with love filled truth

sometimes all you can say is JESUS

Struggle

God hear me tonight as i fight
old enemies have joined forces
and bombarded my senses
Hold me tightly Jesus lest i fall

My end could be so much worse
than the walk of my previous course
bid my heart up tight oh Lord
and strap it to Your own

The flesh is such a terrible thing
coming moment by moment against me
pulling me continually with out rest
resist resist submit, submit

Oh God do not let me fall into sin
tear the thoughts far far from me
I give up all earthly desires and satisfaction

In Keep in Step with the Spirit, J.I. Packer lists four elements of spiritual prayer:

First it is a matter of seeking, claiming, and making use of access to God through Christ (Ephesians 2:18).

Then the Christian adores and thanks God for his acceptance through Christ and for the knowledge that through Christ his prayers are heard.

Third, he asks for the Spirit’s help to see and do what brings glory to Christ, knowing that both the Spirit and Christ himself intercede for him…(Romans 8:26-27, 34).

Finally, the Spirit leads the believer to concentrate on God and his glory in Christ with a sustained, single-minded simplicity of attention and intensity of desire…supernaturally wrought.

May each of these bring you new spiritual intensity.

Prayer for Today: Praise God for accepting you through Christ; repent of any failure to use your access to God through Christ; ask for His Spirit’s power in living this day in integrity; yield to Him by doing what is right wherever you’ve been tempted to do otherwise.

Intercession

Oh Father, standing in the gap
pacing the top of the wall i gasp
how deep is the evil around us
how decieved the created is
spitting in Your face
and You still seek their salvation

Father You have sent others to speak
They bear Your heart
It is in every word of peace and hope
it is the words of life
living and active words strong words
to tear down walls and strongholds

Oh God empower those sent to speak
Saturate them with Your Holy Spirit
Permeate every part of them
tongue, eyes, nose, ears
Make them an extension of Your hands
Make people run after You thru them

Keep me fully aware of Your working
open my eyes to the spiritual realms
open my ears to hear spiritual words
the fights in hearts, deep in souls
make me a tool for Your will
keep me as a clean conduit of Your will to earth

Father keep my heart bound to Yours
As You feel me by the lesser food of prayer
and satisfy me with the greater food of Your word
discipline me quickly so my prayers are heard
i crucify my flesh in sacrifices of submission to You
keep my point of view clearly Yours
that i may fully pray Your will boldly without fear full of love

Trust

God, trust comes difficult for me
trust has been misused and
thrown back at me

God Your love is faithful
You have stood by me and
have held me up

God help me trust you more
work in my heart and
help me understand I am safe

God You know the emotions i feel
You alone read the words and
understand the silence

God hold me close to Your heart
let me hear Your voice in my ear and
tell me more of Your ways

God speak to my soul my King
You who created all of me and
blew Your breath of life inside me

God trust comes difficult for me
bind me to Your heart for mine lies and
this human state I am in fights me

to work in me to do Your will and

to any comfort may I lead them

as they have no control

 You know father that my desire is to lift You up
I long only to guide the hurting to You
my only breath is a map with words
marking the narrow path to You
past the torn veil into Your pressence

Fullness of Joy is found there with You
Even through the hardest of trial
the darkest of night and blinding water
use me to guide them Lord
as my life lifts Your son Jesus up
