Fire

Father the fire of temptation comes when i am alone.

I seek Your secure hand

when the fire shakes my senses

and my flesh responds

when I refuse its desire

Your Hand reminds me i am secure

I seek Your sustaining word

when my world seems to whirl

and the past blurs before my eyes

I repeat the Word i have hid in my heart

Your promises remind me i am secure

I seek Your stabilizing voice

when old sins call me across the waves

and the shore of sand looks inviting

I concentrate on Your voice alone

Your breath alone reminds me i am secure

I seek Your steadying eyes

as i walk past every fleshly indulging sin

like restaurant it entices me to stop in

I keep my gaze fixed on Your eyes

Your eyes remind me i am loved and i am secure

Then when the fiery trial is done

and i rest at Your side

I shall stand in You alone

and count the growth in it

I shall consider the fire joy

and remember i am secure even through the fire

Intercession

Oh Father, standing in the gap
pacing the top of the wall i gasp
how deep is the evil around us
how decieved the created is
spitting in Your face
and You still seek their salvation

Father You have sent others to speak
They bear Your heart
It is in every word of peace and hope
it is the words of life
living and active words strong words
to tear down walls and strongholds

Oh God empower those sent to speak
Saturate them with Your Holy Spirit
Permeate every part of them
tongue, eyes, nose, ears
Make them an extension of Your hands
Make people run after You thru them

Keep me fully aware of Your working
open my eyes to the spiritual realms
open my ears to hear spiritual words
the fights in hearts, deep in souls
make me a tool for Your will
keep me as a clean conduit of Your will to earth

Father keep my heart bound to Yours
As You feel me by the lesser food of prayer
and satisfy me with the greater food of Your word
discipline me quickly so my prayers are heard
i crucify my flesh in sacrifices of submission to You
keep my point of view clearly Yours
that i may fully pray Your will boldly without fear full of love

Trust

God, trust comes difficult for me
trust has been misused and
thrown back at me

God Your love is faithful
You have stood by me and
have held me up

God help me trust you more
work in my heart and
help me understand I am safe

God You know the emotions i feel
You alone read the words and
understand the silence

God hold me close to Your heart
let me hear Your voice in my ear and
tell me more of Your ways

God speak to my soul my King
You who created all of me and
blew Your breath of life inside me

God trust comes difficult for me
bind me to Your heart for mine lies and
this human state I am in fights me

God I trust You to help me trust You
to work in me to do Your will and
love Your law more and more

God my love for You is the push
to trust You, that and Your faithfulness and
Your unconditional love for me

Your Great Love

How well my soul trusts in You Lord
Surely all see Your hand in my life
Continually Your praise pours from my lips
Unceasingly I acknowledge Your provision
Without hesitation I speak of Your favor to me

You have called me lovely dove
You have called me Your bride
Your love burns right through me
oh so deeply You love me God
It is as if all of heaven holds me close

How well I know Your love for me
To share it with all who will listen
To share with all who want to be loved
Let me shout from the rooftop
let me tell of Your great great love God

I would make myself a spectacle

If but for one to come to cling to Your love
If just for one to become clean
rescued from the lie that love is painful
To be redeemed from death and given life

How great Your love is for us God
How great our devotion is to be to You
Let me continually serve with heated fervor
Let me always seek You first
Move in me to desire to please You with my life
