You are My Good Thing

Psalm 16:7-9

“The wise counsel God gives when im awake is confirmed by me sleeping heart.  Day and night I’ll stick with God, I’ve got a good thing and I’m not letting go.”

Oh God how You have held me up and preserved me!

You have kept me for Your own plans and pleasures

People said of me look she is abandoned by her God

And He has made her an orphan, a widow

But my heart knows the truth of the matter

You my king have taken me in and now hold me up

You have given me Your ring and robe

They can not see for their eyes are empty sockets

All they view is there own darkness without Your light

I walk in a wide space because of Your Hand on me

I drink and never thirst because of Your fountain inside me

I eat manna not of this earth because You are my food

When can I go and be with You for real

Not only in spirit as I worship in mind and spirit

My soul aches for eternity when we shall see Your face

When all light will be from Your glory alone casting out all shadows

That is what I daydream about, going to Your place

Living there with You and forgetting this corrupted world

You are like a wine and I can not seem to drink enough

You fill me until my mouth overflows and still I want more

I could drown in Your presence so pour Yourself into me!

My heart shouts Your praise and calls to You from the mountain

Come now and let me rest  and lay my head in Your lap

Where else will I find comfort and peace

Where else will I find refreshment and energy

Where else will I find joy and contentment

Ah yes it is within the bosom of Your embrace

And yet as I desire You and constantly run after You

I find it is You who seeks me out as well

You have longed to know me and hold me

Since the day You created me with Your laughter

You have watched me grow and stand up

You have patiently waited the day I would find You

With eagerness You purposed to me

You have succeeded and captured my heart

Your goodness has enslaved me forever

It is Your love Oh God that has covered me head to toe

You are my choice Oh God and I am Yours.

Forgiven

How marvelous that my sins are forgiven!  They can never be found again and I am overjoyed with the entire idea. Completely marked out and erased,. as if they never even existed. What power and righteousness God must possess to do such a thing!


After all sin is a repugnant smell to God, it makes Him want to vomit.  I once was indeed an enemy toward God, always causing trouble and fighting agains Him. But now I bask in His glory, I am refressed in His presence but most of all I am forgiven.  The price i could not repay short of death has been conceled. The blood of Jesus has canceled out my sin, as if it was never even there.


Praise the Father, Son and Holy Ghost who all play an entricate part of this process. Being made whole, the robbed and prepared and finally recieveding His grace and forgiveness. Filled with love and compassion. 

You Care For Me

All day long my ears listen for you, Your wisdom and knowledge are a worthy treasure.
I consider the high institutes of learning, its classrooms and proffessors full of knowledge then realize they know nothing compared to You God.
On my best day You have more to offer than me. How is it that I try to solve my own problems? Can i attain to see the future and know the best path?
Do i dare to map out the best journey for my life because i know whats best for me?


Saddly, it is not in me to know what is best for me Father, but gratefully I listen all day to hear Your counsel because You have my best interest at heart. My name is carved on Your arm and my heart is bond to Yours. You treat me as You treat me as Your own child. Discipline, reward and provision, then all the promises that come along side! Truely I am blessed by You.


Father I am grateful You are aware of my low, helpless estate and constantly wandering because You take care of me. I do not need to fret, worry or go without sleep because by choice You, God, Care for me.

Cover Me

Lord You are a great cover over me!

Your warmth is my peace when the world is cold and I am grateful You care for me. Lord You alone are able to stop the bullet, break the arrow and save me from the enemies snare!  As i take each step You hace order for me You are a shelter around me against the enemy.

God when those who hate me tried to break me into temptation it was You my Father who opened a window of escape. Oh how i am protected by Your hand! A fortress around me and my household You have become and my night is filled with peaceful rest all my days. The forces of this world come in like a flood and You scatter them and they retreat in many directions. their tails tucked they run back to their master! Greater is He who is in me than he who is in this world!

Oh my wonderful Daddy God, You have captured my heart! as You keep me from harm teach me Your ways. Teach me and prune me to bear even more fruit for You. Keep me as I give you me.
